Lantra Awards specialises in qualifications and training for people in the land-based sector through approved training centres. The centre has been running Lantra courses for just over 5 years prior to the formation of CPCS (1998).

The course will cover safe operation of your chosen machine. At the end of the course the candidate sits a theory and practical test.

Lantra offers the following construction based machine categories;

• Forward Tipping Dumper
• Ride On Roller
• 360 Excavator
• 180 Excavator
• Telescopic Handler
• Loading Shovel (Tracked or Wheeled)
• MEWPS

Course durations range from 1 to 10 days depending on the type of plant and the candidate’s experience.

Upon successfully passing this course a Lantra card will be issued. Lantra Technical Awards HSE recommend that refresher training is carried out every 3 to 5 years.
