Qualifications You Receive

Staffordshire Operator Training Offer a Wide Range of Plant and Machinery Training, There are three routes that we offer:

1) An In-house certification which satisfies the HSE (Health and Safety Executive) requirements, suitable for situations where the individual is conducting their own work, for example: Farmers, Builders, landscape gardeners.

2) A Lantra land based card which is also recognised but not on all major construction sites.

3) CPCS (Construction Plant Competence Scheme) card, this card is required to work as a plant operator on most major contract group construction sites. An experienced worker assessment can take place when the candidate is over 21, can prove 3 years general plant operation and 2 years on the category required, this would allow the candidate to take a reduced course. If the candidate cannot prove previous experience or are aged under 21 then they have to apply for a Novice worker assessment. After completing the CPCS course on either experienced or novice worker assessments the candidate will receive their Red CPCS card, candidates then have 3 years to log 300 hours in the provided CPCS log book working towards their NVQ and Blue CPCS card. For more information on the CPCS card click here or or contact us
