Staffordshire Operator Training offer courses specifically designed to suit service leavers. It is our aim to make your resettlement as easy and stress free as possible. We do this by catering for the individuals resettlement needs, by arranging local accommodation, and we also arrange civilian work attachment (work experience) as required.

Profile:

Like many other people I was faced with the dilemma of staying in the job or
leaving to start a new life. Prior to making the decision to sign-off I started to research the avenues available to me on civi street. I know a lot of people these days are retraining as HGV drivers, Close protection, Plumbers
etc...... but I knew that none of these were for me.

I wanted to do something that would utilise my skills and experience from my
time in the army.
Having spent most of my career on and around tracked vehicles I thought that
moving into Plant machinery would be a natural progression.

After seeing an advert for Staffordshire Operator Training I approached them
to discuss using my Resettlement to train with them on a 360 degree
excavator. It was then I discovered there is a national shortfall of 125000
plant machinery operators in the UK. This convinced me that this was the
right career move.
